Weekly Update

Happy Tuesday!
This week is pre-testing week, students will be pre-tested in their regularly scheduled class for their tip or belt test next week.  
This Saturday, December 11th we are running our Annual Technique Challenge.  This event is in support of the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Campaign, your donation is your admission.  If you are participating via Zoom you can drop off your donations in class this week. There will be prizes for the most funds raised. First prize is Sparring Gear, second prize is a Heavy Weight Gi, third prize is a Gym Bag. Any student who raises $100 will be put into a draw to win a Gym Bag. Students are welcome to participate in person or by Zoom.  Class sizes are limited, please be sure to book your spot in advance or contact the Dojo if you need help.  Be sure to arrive in full uniform and to bring your mask.  The schedule, Zoom link, and password are below.  


500 Technique Challenge – intake at 9:45, the challenge will begin at 10am.  
4 and 5 year olds use front entrance, 6-8 Beginners/Advanced and 9- 12 Beginners use the back entrance
1000 Technique Challenge – intake at 11:00 am 9-12 Advanced use the front entrance, and the challenge begins at 11:15 

5000 Technique Challenge– intake at 11:00 am Teens/Adults use back entrance.

Presentation to the Salvation Army will take place around 12pm once the 1000 Technique Challenge is completed.  We will also announce the total funds raised and prize winners at this time.  Please join us via Zoom for the presentation and the announcements.

The Black Belt Grading will be after the 5000 Technique Challenge, we will bow in and begin at 2:00pm.  Please be sure to bring your water bottle, and snacks for the nutrition breaks.  There will be a light dinner provided between 5:00pm and 5:30pm.  The Kata presentations are expected to take place at 7:30pm, and after the presentations successful candidates will be presented their belts.  We will finish with closing remarks from Hanshi Tallack at 8:00pm and take a group photo.
