Hey everyone we hope that you had a great weekend as we sure had a busy one!
This past Saturday was our end of Karate Kid’s Program Summer Skills Competition, Fundraiser and BBQ!
A great turnout of happy and supportive students and their family members were able to help donate over $300 and 300 pounds of food to The Kingston Food Bank! Thank you for all of your help and support. 🙂
When the morning event finished, we moved onto our annual Summer Black Belt Examination Day. Everyone worked very hard and trained in the hot sun for many hours demonstrating all encompassing facets of their martial arts training.
Six karate students were promoted to the rank of Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) as well as one student for their 1st Degree Black Sash in Kung-Fu.
Three students were promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate, as well as one student each to 3rd Degree in Karate and Kung-Fu respectively.
Congratulations to everyone who passed their test this past weekend, all of your recent hard work, dedication, and effort did not go unnoticed.
We look forward to preparing our next group of students in the year to come, who will be next??
Have a great week, see you at the dojo!
