We are very excited to have our Youth Tournament on Saturday, February 17 at the Holiday Inn – Waterfront at 2 Princess Street, Kingston. Please arrive by 8:30am for check-in. Below we have outlined details on what equipment is required, how participants can prepare, and what to expect.
Sparring Equipment:
- Foam Helmet
- Foam Gloves
- Foam Shin Pads
- Foam Boots
- Mouth guards – Needed only for 7y/o + Advanced students – 10y/o + Beginner Students
- Groin cups – Needed only for people male-bodied – 7y/o + Advanced students – 10y/o + Beginner Students
Mouth guards and groin cups can be obtained at Canadian Tire or Sports Chek.
TIPS:
- Bring snacks, indoor shoes, water, hair accessories to keep hair out of face
- Bring a book or video game to read or play while you wait for your division to start
- Coaching or shouting from the sidelines is not permitted
- Please be respectful to all participants, volunteers, assistants, referees, judges, and all other individuals
- Coaches will let all participants know where to go – Stay in the area where your coach assigned you to.
- Let the coaches know if you need to leave for bathroom, water, etc
