Monday Weekly Update

Hey everyone! We hope you had a great weekend, we sure did! The 7th Annual Kingston Multicultural Arts Festival was a huge success yesterday as we saw thousands of people throughout the day alongside great performances from many local and visiting acts. The Tallack Dojo Lion Dance Team took centre stage as we performed in front of a great and welcoming crowd. Look for pictures and videos to come later this week!

This week is ‘Testing Week’ here at the dojo, so make sure that you are in and working hard for your classes along with binging in your Home Achievement Chart and/or Belt Testing Sheet for your tip or belt test this week. Successful Belt Testing graduates will be invited to our monthly Graduation Ceremony this Friday at 6PM for all of their friends and families to come watch them receive their new rank.

This week is also the start of the Tallack’s Karate Kids Program, so look out for us at your school to hand out information on the program, classes officially start next week!

This Saturday we will be back at the Annual Kingston Dragonboat Festival. It is being held at Emma Martin Park, on Cataraqui St. (Near the Boiler Room rock climing gym, River Mill Restaurant, or old Whig Standard Building) The event runs from 9AM and goes until about 3PM. It’s going to be another great one, we will be there handing out information on our programs, hold a martial arts class, and the Lion Dance Team will be performing for the festival. We hope you can join us!

Have a great week, see you at the dojo!
