Monday Weekly Update:

Chisen-kaiyushiki
Chisen-kaiyushiki, Pond-stroll garden in Ginkaku-ji temple in Kyoto, Japan.

It’s finally here! Our team of 20 students and instructors that have been working hard and preparing these past six months leave THIS SATURDAY for Japan! Some of the travellers will return Sunday May 1st, and some others will be enjoying an extended stay until Wednesday May 4th. We aren’t sure how much communication we will be able to send while we are in Japan, but we will try to update everyone how the trip is going. Once we return, look for lots of pictures, videos, and more from the trip. We have one final Japan practice class this Friday evening to make sure everyone is all ready to go!

We will be having some additional volunteers and past instructors coming in these next two weeks while are are in Japan to help with our regularly scheduled classes, please welcome them and thank them for coming in to keep the dojo open for all of our students while we are away on our trip!

We hope everyone enjoyed this past weekend with a welcome change to some nice weather here in Kingston, congratulations to all of our students who passed their belt tests this past week and received their new belts at our graduation ceremony this past Friday.

This week we are starting our testing classes at our Karate Kids Program schools, they will conclude by the end of next week to prepare all students for the end of semester Karate Kids Program Graduation Ceremonies happening in May here at Tallack Dojo. Look for a posted schedule to come later today.

We hope you have an awesome week, I know we will, we will be preparing for our exciting trip this weekend!

See you at the dojo,

  • Kyle
